Course Content:

Basic Aerodynamics, Finite wing, Static and Dynamic Stability. Longitudinal control:- Neutral Point, static margin, Control by elevator, Trim condition, Hinge moment. Lateral Control:- Roll control, Yaw control. Frames of references, Transforms, Direction Cosine Matrices, Euler angles, Quaternions. Equations of motion, Longitudinal and Lateral modes, Analysis of these modes (Frequency response), Closed loop Control.

Course Evaluation Structure: Short Quizzes(5-6)-30%, Midsem-30%, Endsem-40%

General funda: Papers should not be very tough as they are open slides, so no need to remember lengthy formulae. Tutorials help a lot for exams. Understanding of the concepts and knowing which formulae to apply in problems will make your solving fast and papers really easy.

Professor’s Teaching Style: The instructor uploaded lectures on YouTube, so one can watch them at their own pace. Lectures and Slides were easy to follow and understand. Watching lectures were highly effective rather than just reading the slides.

Who should do this course: It is a core course for B.Tech degree. Students interested in learning about vehicle dynamics of aircrafts should definitely take this course.
