Course Content in Brief:

  • Divided into 2 parts: game theory and decision analysis. For our batch only game theory part was covered.
  • Course involved a Project at the end.
  • Course belongs to DS basket.
  • Included fun games for first lecture.

Motivation behind taking this course: Interesting topic with various applications. Course from DS basket in case I want to complete this minor too. And if achieved good grade retag it as IE.


Info about Projects/Assignments: Assignments are based on activities in class so attendance is kind of required. PROJECT was open ended any topic and Application of game theory.

Evaluation Structure:

  • Quizzes: 30%
  • Midsem: 30%
  • Endsem: 40%
  • (Above are the weights at sem start: pdf available for this)
  • Course project was included later

Level of effort you put into the course: 3/5

Feedback on Lectures (in terms of lecture delivery or ease of understanding, prof’s teaching style): Prof’s accent is difficult to understand especially from back benches.

General Fundae: Attend lec or read the reference book either will work. Assignments and projects save the day.

Who can take this course?: Anyone who is interested in the topic and the common puzzles such as “prisoners dilemma”. Anyone who wants to add a DS basket course to their list.
