Project type: SLP.
Motivation to pursue project: My interest in designing rotatory systems motivated me to take this project.
Summary of Project: Developed a Blade Element Momentum Theory based computational tool to predict the performance of overlapping multirotor configurations relevant to helicopters and vertical take-off and landing drones also taking into account the Prandtl’s Tip Loss Factor, the interference of both rotors on each other and so on to produce more realistic estimates. This tool can be used for initial phase designing of the rotor after which we can perform CFD analysis.
